This billboard in Dublin has been criticised for featuring the slogan “We’re not the Nazis”.
The slogan was first seen on a billboard in Cork in December last year, but is now being re-enacted in the capital.
Dublin City Council says the billboard is not intended to be taken seriously.
However, the Irish Independent has revealed the slogan has also been re-purposed in other parts of the country.
Dubai residents have taken to social media to express their concern about the billboard.
It is a billboard on Dublin’s south side with the slogan, “We are not the nazis”.
“What is this billboard about?
Why is it there?
What does it mean?
I have no idea what it means, but it is offensive,” one user wrote on Twitter.
The council has been inundated with complaints from locals.
It said it was aware of the situation and was looking into it.
Dubliner City Council said it would investigate.
