Latina actress Eliza D’Anastasio, who has been starring on Broadway and in the movies since the 1990s, is making a splash in the new year with her first new project since last summer’s smash hit, La Casa del Mundo.
D’Anasco, whose character is a “fairy” who lives in a house in the heart of the city, will play a woman who has a love for animals and an affinity for animals, and who, in a nod to the show, wears an animal mask.
Her latest film, La Prensa, which premiered in Los Angeles last week, stars a new cast of characters including her longtime pal, Maria Lourdes Valenzuela.
In the new film, D’Antastasio plays a woman living in the U.S. who finds herself living with her family when her family moves to Mexico, where she is given a house as a gift by a friend.
The story follows a young woman named Louras, who finds that she has an affinity with animals that leads her to become an animal sanctuary keeper and eventually the sanctuary.
D’Alesca is a longtime friend of Valenzulas family and she said she was drawn to D’Thea’s character after meeting her on the set of La Casas, which is a Mexican film festival that showcases films by the countrys most popular actors.
Dutifully, Valenzualas actress, who is the niece of Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto, said she and D’ Anastasio are excited to collaborate on the film, and they’ve shared some of their thoughts on the project in the video below.
Duty to Love: When the time comes, take the role of the animal, Eliza d’Ana (Eliza DíAnastas) in La Casadas del Mundos.
(via Deadline)”She’s a woman that I think has always loved animals and her story is one of a woman with a lot of courage, courage and heart,” Valenzue said of D’ Alastasio.
“She’s very strong, and she’s also very feminine, and I think that’s why we’re both thrilled to be able to collaborate with her.
And it’s really exciting to work with a filmmaker like Maria López Valenzúa, who also made the first film with Eliza, La Parque de la Amor del Mund.
She’s really good at her craft and we hope to see a lot more of her work.”
In addition to her role as the keeper of the sanctuary, Día Anastas is also a veterinarian who has dedicated her life to saving animals and keeping them healthy.
Día is also the wife of a doctor, and the couple has a daughter, Elisa, who plays a character in La Perna del Amor.
The film, which was directed by Gustavo Almeida and stars Valenzues wife, Maria, is set to debut in theaters on December 2.
